FOOD ITEMS
The glaze we use ensures all pottery is completely food-safe. Our pottery can be used in both the dishwasher and microwave; HOWEVER, we strongly recommend handwashing all items to prolong their life. Dishwashers can wash very harshly, which may weaken your pottery over time.

Caution HOT!!!: Please exercise caution when handling pottery straight from the microwave, as it can become extremely hot due to the nature of the clay and glaze.

DAMAGES
Occasionally, items may become damaged in transit or come out of the kiln with imperfections. In such cases, we will offer you the opportunity to paint a replacement piece free of charge via a gift voucher. While we understand this may be disappointing, such accidents are rare but unavoidable.

Once an item is in your possession, you have 24 hours to notify us of any damages or imperfections. After this time, you accept the item’s condition as-is.

EXCESS WASTAGE POLICY
We aim to minimize waste wherever possible. Customers who unnecessarily waste glaze may incur a £5 (or other) excess wastage charge. Please use glaze thoughtfully to avoid additional fees.

UNFINISHED POTTERY
If you are unable to complete your pottery within your allocated session, we will hold your unfinished piece for up to 6 weeks so you can return to complete it.

  • Off-peak times (e.g., term-time weekdays): Additional sessions are free of charge.

  • Peak times (e.g., weekends, school holidays): A studio fee of £5 per person applies.

COLLECTION

  • Pottery pieces must be collected from our studio or posted to you at your expense.

  • We will attempt to contact you twice using the details provided to remind you to collect your pieces.

  • Any items left uncollected after 2 months (from the date painted) will be disposed of unless otherwise agreed.

DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATIONS

  • Upon booking, card details will be securely held by a third party. Failure to attend your booking or cancelling with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in a £15 per person cancellation fee, which will be charged to your card. (This is based on an average spend.)

For private bookings:

  • Deposits will be discussed at the time of booking.

  • All deposits are non-refundable.

For events/workshops/online bookings:

  • Deposits paid at the time of booking are non-refundable.

  • If you notify us at least 72 hours before the event, we may transfer your deposit to a gift voucher for future use, at the discretion of Happy Glaze Pottery.

  • Cancellations made within 72 hours of the event will forfeit the deposit.

PHOTOGRAPHY
By entering our studio, you consent to being photographed. These photos may be shared on our social media, website, or used for advertising purposes. If you prefer not to appear in photos, please notify us beforehand, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

CCTV: For the safety of our staff, customers, and the public, our shop is monitored by CCTV. Recordings will not be shared externally unless there is a valid reason.

Terms & Conditions - Online Shop Orders

Due to the nature of our personalised pottery items, refunds are not possible. If you wish to cancel your order, please notify us AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. We will start your order as soon as we can, so often we may have already began painting - in this case, we sadly cannot accomodate any cancellations.

If you receive a damaged or defective item, please get in touch as soon as you can so we can investigate further.

We aim to have all custom items painted and dispatched within 2 weeks.
