Welcome to the very first Happy Glaze blog post!
Whether you've visited us before or you're discovering Happy Glaze Pottery for the first time, we're so glad you're here.
We've created this blog to share pottery painting inspiration, answer some of the questions we're asked most often and give you a little peek behind the scenes of our studio in Tiverton. Over time you'll find creative ideas, pottery tips, seasonal updates, workshop news and plenty of inspiration for your next visit.

What is Happy Glaze?
Happy Glaze Pottery is a friendly pottery painting studio in the heart of Tiverton, Devon.
When you visit, you'll choose your favourite piece of pottery from our shelves. We have everything from mugs, bowls and plates to animals, planters, vases, keepsakes and seasonal designs.
Once you've chosen your pottery, simply relax and enjoy painting at your own pace using our specialist ceramic paints. When you've finished, we'll professionally glaze and kiln fire your piece at over 1000°C, creating a beautiful glossy finish that is food safe, dishwasher safe and made to last.
No artistic experience is needed. Whether you're painting your very first mug or creating an intricate design, our team are always happy to help with ideas and techniques.

Who is pottery painting for?
One of the questions we hear most is...
"Is pottery painting just for children?"
Not at all!
Our studio welcomes painters of all ages. Every week we see:
Families making memories together.

Couples enjoying a different kind of date night.
Grandparents spending quality time with grandchildren.
Adults looking for a relaxing creative escape.
People creating personalised gifts for birthdays, weddings and new babies.
Pottery painting is one of those rare activities that everyone can enjoy, whatever their age or artistic ability.
Whether you're planning a family day out, celebrating a birthday or simply looking for something different to do in Devon, we'd love to welcome you.
